CASTING CALL:
Still Water (Working Title) written and directed by Rachel McMurray

Fine Comb Theatre is auditioning for a development of its newest production Still Water (Working Title).
Synopsis:
Set in Western Australia, Still Water is a new play exploring choice, friendship, risk, and our relationship to water. The work follows a young man and the shifting people, places and moments surrounding him. This is an early-stage development process, with story, character and form continuing to evolve through rehearsal and collaboration.
The Production Dates:
Development Rehearsals:
Pre-Rehearsal Days: 20th & 21st July 2026
Rehearsals: W/C July 27 - August 14th 2026 *select times and dates (average 4 days a week)
Development Showing: 17th (prep) & 18th August (showing) 2026
Development Venue: Various rehearsal spaces, predominately in Maylands and City Centre.
Auditions:
We are auditioning for three roles in this development.
Audition Date: Saturday 6 June 2026 | Auditions slots between 10am - 6pm
Location: The Blue Room Theatre.
Roles:
Luke | Male, playing age 22 - 29, Australian, any ethnicity.
Luke is central to the world of the play. We are seeking an actor with warmth, humour, strong instinct and openness to a collaborative development.
Must be Perth based.
Multi-Role Performer 1 | Female, playing age 22 - 29, Australian, any ethnicity.
This performer will play multiple roles across the work. We are looking for a versatile performer with a strong physical and emotional range, excellent ensemble collaboration skills, and the ability to shift fluidly between characters. Ability to perform some range of accents is desirable.
Must be Perth based.
